Laz wasn't worried about Jimmy. He was just a normal guy with normal abilities. A guy like that wasn't worth Laz's effort. He was simply hired to do a job. In fact, he would have preferred to have been more low key and not stand out. But there was a problem. Laz couldn't help but shake his head. It seemed like every time something like this came up, there would be a problem. Laz had sensed it when he had first come outside, but didn't jump to conclusions. After all, there was a large group of people lined…

As Laz was walking back out to the main area, he saw people start to come inside. Most went straight towards the bar while the DJ went up to start some music. Since Laz didn't know what to be doing at this point, he just stood around and observed some of the people walking in. It didn't take long before the lights went down and the music started playing. On top of all that, various types of mood lighting went into effect, causing the entire dance floor and downstairs lounge area to be covered in…

The message was short and sweet, 'Meet at the club at four on Friday.' There wasn't anything else. Laz was a bit nervous now that he was going to be put in the situation. Although one could argue that he had been a body guard before, that was more to a friend than a straight up employer. As such, Laz had no choice but to seriously think about a few things. 'Should I bring my gun?' *HELL NO!* Vivi screamed at him when he asked her opinion. It was one thing to use the mini cannon of death on demon beasts…

Thunk. Boom. Whap. The floor was soon littered with groaning bodies of individuals, some of which had been covered in protective gear and others who had not. The ones who didn't have gear on were highly trained martial artists who knew how to take a hit and a fall, but in this case they claimed they wouldn't need it. Whether they were regretting the decision now or not was something only they knew and probably wouldn't speak about even if they could. In the center of the room dressed in a white, skin…

"You know what? Why not? This is just what the day needed..." Laz felt stoic about this sudden interruption. All things considered, he had a pretty decent day and a fun date with Leona. He should have realized that karma was going to show up with a shot to the nuts some point soon. Sadly, karma seemed to arrive in the form of a blonde haired pretty boy with the voice of a ten year old. "Leona! Good, I found you. And you, get away from her right now!" Brian rushed over as though he was a knight in shining…

Laz went inside after Vivi to get changed. Although he wasn't thinking this was a real date, despite what he said, he didn't want to just show up looking like he normally did. After picking out something to wear, which going from a jeans and tee shirt to a nicer pair of jeans and a tee shirt, he headed out. Since the coffee place was pretty close, he decided to walk. It didn't take long before Laz got there and sat down to wait. Looking outside the windows at the passing traffic, Laz couldn't help feeling…

While Laz was waiting for Leo's invitation to work, he decided that he couldn't just do nothing, even if he wanted to. Mostly though, it was Vivi who decided he couldn't do nothing. "Why do we have to do this now?" Laz asked for the tenth time. *Because you wanted to learn and I wanted to go shopping.* Vivi replied as she made herself more comfortable on the grass. "I told you, until we make some money, we can't really be buying things that aren't essentials." *You have no idea what exactly is…

A man stood looking out over the city from a floor to ceiling window. He was handsome enough with his dark hair and brown eyes, but when the other people in the room looked at him, they either had fear or respect shown on their faces, sometimes both. "Boss, things are getting real tricky in most areas. Cops are locking down entire blocks, searching for then damn mutants." "Yeah Boss, it's next to impossible to do an honest days sales anymore." "We're bleeding money left and right here boss. And the…

"Says here you're at a B rank," Leo inquired. "No idea what that means, but sure." Laz was being a bit cold for a reason. No matter what kind of people these actually were, he knew that being friendly and cheerful was not a way to make friends in this business. So he took on the attitude of a rather stony individual. "It means that you have been vouched for by the person on the card and it means that you have killed for them. That's not something that comes around here," Leo answered, trying to probe Laz…

As they exited the last cavern before going into the tunnel that lead to the well, Laz turned around to put the rock back in place. Although they had wiped out the larger problems in the cave, that didn't mean that if the other spiders escaped that they wouldn't cause problems. Laz didn't feel like taking risks. When they had originally come into the cavern, it took both of them and a huge effort to move the rock forward a few feet, just so they had enough room to get in. Of course, pushing out of the way…
