Returning to the cottage, Crucis spoke again to the old NPC. "Congratulations," said the old man, "You may now learn a skill. Equip your , and try to pierce the targets painted on the large trees to your left while standing in place. The dagger is soft, so you must target it precisely." Crucis walked up to the large, thick barks of the four trees indicated. The trees had small, white circles painted on them, but formed a diamond, meaning that Crucis would have to stab backwards to reach some of the…

“A (The Batman Who Laughs.) Crouching near some bushes overlooking the cottage, Crucis didn't hear any player approach for five minutes. It wasn't that surprising. Many of the larger Guilds were encouraging players to go to sleep instead of worrying about the bug, in the hope that it was fixed when they awoke. Other players were just tired due to the stress, and didn't want to wander out of safe zones, let alone in the woods at night. Regardless, it seemed like it might be safe for him to take the…

Cael walked back towards the centre of Kruxol down a cobbled street towards the South of town. On his way, he saw an archer and a warrior gingerly walking towards the small woods South of Kruxol, both casting superstitious glances towards the dark-brown, pyramidal temple a short way to their left. Cael surmised that the players had probably been warned about the temple's guards, who would attack and one-shot any intruders who were not in the Mage class or in a Mage's party. Cael quickly walked up to them,…

Cael rose slowly to his feet on the grey stone pavement of Sanra, feeling slightly tired in the dark. He noticed the slightly sluggish, less immediate movement resulting from his low Agility, as opposed to the highly responsive Assassin character whose movement felt more natural. After taking a minute to adapt, he looked towards the Eastern entrance, where he saw a group of 35 players gathered on the path towards Kruxol. Walking up to them, he asked if they were the group scheduled to leave for Kruxol at…

Returning to Kruxol, Crucis noticed that a few large notices had been set up on billboards around the town. Looking more closely, he saw that they showed the schedule of groups travelling between Kruxol and other nearby towns. These groups were set up by strong Guilds in response to the bug, and were intended to assist players with transport between towns while guarding them from attack. Crucis scanned the list of incoming journeys from Sanra, and saw that one was due to depart in one hour. He decided that…

Crucis looked through Storage, and picked out the light sword. Finding that he could wield it now due to his Dexterity exceeding 350, he swung it lightly through the air, and it flew almost weightless through the still air. He decided to check on its stats further: While it wasn't as fast as his dagger, it was still quite fast at this stage in the game. However, Crucis hadn't yet trained his light sword abilities much, and hence would be at a disadvantage using this for now. He would train light swords…

Walking cautiously through the square door into the temple's underground passage, Crucis hid once more in the rocky left wall of the tunnel as he heard the door slam shut. Looking near the area where the Raptors had last attacked, he saw that the frustrated Garulus had already returned a couple of times to reclaim his corpse, but been killed each time by the Raptors. Since Garulus had already dropped a corpse here, his other deaths were marked with small gravestones. Crucis made sure that nobody was…

Consider this. No matter your skill or how well you play, a boneheaded whale without skill could surpass you. If you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a game anymore. Since he had received many fragments of the artifact from killing Melydia, Crucis decided that he might as well find all of the 100 that he would need to create the artifact. He spent about an hour grinding the enemy, and reached level 25 in the process. This gave him the 100 fragments he needed. However, he still had no way…

"Come, gentle night; come, loving, black-brow'd night; Give me my Romeo; and, when I shall die, Take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine That all the world will be in love with night..." The boss, , dragged its large, white-scaled skin heavily across the ground. Its eyes glowed with a chalky white aura, obscuring its red-grey pupils behind this thick glow. The creature slowly unveiled itself as it crawled out of its cage. Its white scales had green…

Crucis charted out his path towards the treasure in the corner of the labyrinth. It was mostly quite straightforwards, as the labyrinth opened into a vast, cavernous area towards the corner. Crucis watched carefully, and saw no signs of movement in this large area, that was still except for the faint sound of a stream of water pouring through the black-grey rocks at the far end. The player on the left was still energetically grinding mobs, and he would probably have the time to pick up the treasure before…
